Strivo Systems LLC, doing business as Strivo (“Strivo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides a technology-enabled tuition receivables servicing platform to career schools, trade schools, bootcamps, training providers, and their students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when schools, their authorized representatives, students, and website visitors use our website, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Schools: authorized administrators, employees, and contractors who use the Service on behalf of an educational institution
- Students: students and other individuals whose tuition accounts are serviced through Strivo
- Website Visitors: individuals who use the Strivo website or submit information through a Strivo form
The School generally remains the creditor and owner of the tuition receivable. Strivo provides servicing and technology services on the School’s behalf. Depending on the context, the School may be the primary point of contact for requests involving records the School controls.
2. Information We Collect
From Schools
- Institution name, address, contact information, licensing, and program information
- Authorized representative and staff names, email addresses, telephone numbers, roles, and account credentials
- Student enrollment, tuition, payment-plan, contract, account, and servicing information supplied by the School
- School settlement, billing, and payment information
- Configuration, usage, support, audit, and security information
From Students
- Name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and other contact information
- Enrollment, School, program, tuition, payment-plan, account, payment, delinquency, dispute, and servicing information
- Government-issued identification information, identity-verification results, and related evidence
- Social Security number and other taxpayer or credit-reporting identifiers when required for identity verification, servicing, or authorized credit-bureau reporting
- Bank-account ownership or linking information and payment-method tokens supplied through our service providers
- Contracts, disclosures, authorizations, electronic signatures, and audit evidence
- Communications preferences and SMS consent or opt-out records
- Login, device, browser, IP address, activity, audit, fraud-prevention, and security information
Website and Communications Information
- Information submitted through website forms
- Cookies and similar technical data used to operate, secure, and understand the website
- Email and text-message delivery, response, consent, and preference records
We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, document, and improve the Service, service tuition accounts, comply with law, and perform obligations owed to Schools and Students.
3. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Establish and administer School and Student accounts
- Verify identity, contact information, and bank-account ownership
- Present, execute, retain, and administer contracts, disclosures, and authorizations
- Schedule, process, reconcile, and report payments and account activity
- Service tuition receivables and provide account notices and support
- Send transactional email and text messages when authorized
- Prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access
- Maintain audit trails, evidence, records, and security controls
- Investigate and resolve disputes, errors, and complaints
- Support authorized credit-bureau reporting when enabled and legally permitted
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service
- Comply with contractual, accounting, tax, regulatory, legal, and enforcement obligations
We do not use Student information for third-party advertising or unrelated behavioral marketing.
4. Schools, Education Records, and Minors
When Strivo processes information that is controlled by a School or constitutes an education record under applicable law, Strivo uses that information to provide contracted services to the School and subject to the School’s applicable instructions and legal obligations.
Schools are responsible for providing required notices and obtaining any authorization or consent required before submitting information to Strivo.
A parent or guardian seeking access to or correction of a minor Student’s School-controlled records should generally contact the School first. Eligible Students may exercise rights applicable to their records directly as permitted by law.
Strivo does not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 outside a School-authorized or otherwise legally permitted context. If you believe information was collected from a child improperly, contact us using the information in Section 14.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
- Schools and authorized users: We may make account and servicing information available to the School that owns or administers the applicable tuition receivable and to authorized users acting for that School.
- Service providers: We may disclose limited information to providers that support hosting, identity verification, payment processing, bank linking, electronic signatures, email, text messaging, security, analytics, support, accounting, and other operations. These providers may use the information only to perform services for Strivo or as otherwise permitted by law.
- Credit reporting: When authorized, enabled, and legally permitted, we may furnish account information to consumer reporting agencies and providers supporting that activity.
- Legal and safety obligations: We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, regulatory requests, or to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Service.
- Business transactions: Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable protections.
Text-message opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
We may disclose mobile information, including SMS opt-in or consent status, only to service providers that help us operate and deliver the messaging program, such as messaging platforms and telecommunications carriers, or when disclosure is required by law. Those providers may use the information only to provide the applicable service.
6. Payment and Financial Information
Payments and bank-linking functions may be provided through third-party processors.
Strivo generally receives tokens, status information, account ownership results, and transaction records rather than complete payment-card credentials.
Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices where applicable.
7. Transactional Text Messaging
If you separately opt in, Strivo may send transactional text messages concerning:
- Identity verification
- Account onboarding
- Payment reminders
- Payment status
- Account servicing
- Security notifications
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of enrollment, purchase, or receiving Strivo’s services.

We record consent and preference information needed to demonstrate and honor your choice. Opting out of text messages does not prevent Strivo from contacting you through other lawful channels about your account.
8. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Safeguards may include:
- Access controls
- Encryption
- Audit logging
- Monitoring
- Vendor oversight
- Procedures for handling sensitive information
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide and document the Service
- Service tuition accounts
- Fulfill contracts
- Maintain accounting and audit records
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce agreements
- Protect the Service
- Comply with legal or regulatory obligations
When information is no longer required, we may delete, de-identify, or securely archive it in accordance with applicable requirements and our records-management practices.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your relationship with Strivo and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.
Some requests may need to be directed to or coordinated with the applicable School. We may verify identity and authority before completing a request, and we may retain information when required or permitted by law.
You may:
- Update account information through available account tools
- Contact the applicable School regarding School-controlled records
- Contact Strivo regarding privacy questions or requests
- Opt out of transactional text messages by replying STOP
- Adjust email or other communication preferences where available
11. Cookies and Website Technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate, secure, remember preferences for, and understand use of the website.
Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect website functionality.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Strivo is not responsible for a third party’s independent website or privacy practices.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
We will post the updated version on this page, revise the “Last Updated” date, and provide any additional notice required by law or contract.
Material changes may also be communicated by email or through a prominent notice within the Service.
